Hi All, Need some help to determine if the natural wood table I bought has defects or not. This is my first time purchasing a natural wood table and that too from a small online store but Ikea. Appreciate your guidance on this.
Quick Summary: I am in BC, Canada. Back in February I purchased an acacia wood dining table from a small online company in Montreal which got delivered only 2 days back after numerous delays.
After opening the package, I found numerous small holes throughout the surface of the table, one marginally large hole and some machine made looking marks throughout the table.
When I asked the store, they said the holes and marks are acceptable for natural wood and would not consider as defects. While googling, I found some links talking about holes representing possible infestation of the wood and that got me more concerned.
Can you please help me understand if these things are really at acceptable level for a natural wood table.
Thanks for your help.
